PEACE Project: Student Ambassador Program
Where Young Artists Lead Change

The PEACE Student Ambassador Program offers middle and high school students across Long Island the opportunity to collaborate with professional artists on community-based art projects that address social challenges and inspire change. Through this program, students work alongside artists and peers to develop projects that use the arts for advocacy, building leadership skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to community engagement.

At its core, PEACE supports educators and cultural partners in creating meaningful, equitable arts experiences for students. The Student Ambassador Program takes this mission beyond the classroom, giving young people the tools, space, and encouragement to lead as artists and civic changemakers, while PEACE provides guidance and support as students shape the vision.

This merit-based program is fully funded, ensuring that there are no financial barriers to participation. Students selected for the program earn documented service hours and may qualify for the Civic Seal of Readiness, gaining valuable mentorship and experience to support college and future leadership goals. Participants expand their networks, engage in thoughtful dialogue, and receive letters of recommendation from the Patchogue Arts Council PEACE Project upon completion.

PEACE Educators are encouraged to nominate students who demonstrate creativity, motivation, and a desire to use their voices for positive change. Parents can feel confident knowing their student will participate in a safe, meaningful program supported by the U.S. Department of Education.

For students ready to use their creativity to make a difference, the PEACE Student Ambassador Program offers a meaningful opportunity to grow as artists and leaders while creating work that resonates within their schools and communities.
