Spanish Language Teacher, Award-winning author, poet, and cultural programmer, her teaching approach focuses on creating immersive cultural experiences and lessons that allow students to explore their cultural identity while fostering a sense of belonging. As the founder of Cuentos de Triadas Inc., a MWBE cultural organization, she offers engaging bilingual programs for underrepresented youth. Devers also serves as the Founder and Program Director of the Latinx Arts Festival & Book Fair, debuting in October 2024 at Nassau Community College, offering a rich bilingual educational experience over a 3-day arts and culture program. As a seasoned teacher, she inspires students' love for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture with lessons that transcend the classroom. A Stony Brook University alumna, she has contributed to various arts councils, libraries and educational organizations, remaining passionate about community empowerment and cultural dialogue. Recognized by the Huntington Arts Council, and as a NYSCA Grantee, her literary and artistic endeavors aim to enrich and uplift the community. Most recently Devers received the Dr. Antonia Pantoja Bilingual Education Advocacy Award by the New York State Association of Bilingual Education (NYSABE) in Saratoga Springs.
