Sofiya Cheyenne Brown

Multi-disciplinary Performance Artist and Disability Advocate/Consultant

Sofiya Cheyenne is a Brooklyn-bred Teaching Artist, multi-disciplinary performer and Disability Advocate/Consultant. She is a Co-Chair of The Dwarf Artist Coalition and the former Inclusion Director of Little People of America. She also serves on the Disability Advisory Council for ART NY, where she continually advocates for people of short stature on and off the stage. Sofiya is a passionate educator,  community organizer and public speaker, including the making of her disability awareness presentations which she has shared with numerous schools throughout Long Island. She has been teaching throughout New York City for over 15 years with various organizations. Through sharing her artistry and consulting across sectors of art and culture, she fosters spaces of creativity and vulnerability, she amplifies the power of disability justice and encourages community in storytelling.  www.sofiyacheyenne.com
