Candido Crespo is a husband, father, artist, art educator, and community activist. For 18 years, he has taught in the Central Islip Union Free School District in Central Islip, N.Y., where his educational philosophy emphasizes relationships and community. Crespo firmly believes art educators thrive when they not only teach but also create. He is currently exploring painting and printmaking. He also founded the creativiDAD project, an initiative that helps fathers and guardians integrate creativity into their parenting through community workshops.
