Pam Gustafson
Pam Gustafson earned her Master of Library Science and Master of History degrees from LIU Post and holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Education Leadership Management from Northeastern University. She is an academic specialist with SUNY Empire State College and a certified school librarian at Brentwood High School. Prior to this, she was at Bayport-Blue Point High School, Bard High School Early College, and Oceanside High School. Before becoming a librarian, she was at LIU Post for about 15 years as the Assistant Director of the LIU Post Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program as well as served on advisory and educational committees for the American Psychological Association (APA), Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and the National Association for Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP). She has taught college writing as well as freshmen English courses and is also a freelance editor, researcher, and sometimes social media manager. She has published book reviews and trade journal articles as well as co-authored a peer-reviewed scholarly article. She is co-author on a book coming out from Oxford University Press in 2023/2024 on completing theses and dissertations in applied psychology fields. In her free time, she writes, paints, and tries not to kill things in her garden. She lives in Patchogue with her three teenagers and dopey pitbull.
