Andrea Cote

Andrea Cote is a multi-disciplinary artist and arts educator living in Hampton Bays, New York. In addition to her studio practice, Andrea is committed to maintaining a dialogue with the community through teaching, speaking, writing, and public programming. Andrea has taught traditional and innovative visual art and movement courses for over twenty years, working at The Watermill Center, Parrish Museum, Guild Hall, Southampton Arts Center, Purchase College, and Lang College - The New School for Social Research.

She has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally at venues including Islip Art Museum, Rotunda Gallery, Delaware Art Museum, The Rochester Contemporary, Art Center South Florida, The Print Center, and Guild Hall. On Long Island, her site-specific public projects have been presented in Riverhead and Greenport, creating collective portraits of these towns as told through individual residents. “The Radiance Project” in 2018, was a community-centered project supported by a residency at Southampton Arts Center and a NYSCA Creative Individuals Grant, comprised of collaborative printing and dance.
