Andrea Allen has nearly a decade of experience in K-12 arts education, having served in roles such as a classroom teacher, teaching artist, and graduate researcher. In her current role as a Research Analyst at Metis Associates, Andrea leverages her background in education to contribute to project evaluations. Andrea holds a B.A. in Journalism and an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Houston, and she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the same institution. Her doctoral research explores systemic issues affecting urban public school students through the lens of equity and social justice.
